Steve “USS” Cunningham is a two-time Cruiserweight World Champion and former USBA National Heavyweight Campion, who has exemplified the true meaning of a fighter. Willing to fight anyone, anywhere at anytime, Cunningham won his world titles in Poland and Germany with wins over Kryzstof Wlodarczyk and Troy Ross respectively and defended his title with class with a sensational 12th round stoppage over Marco Huck in Huck’s hometown of Bielfield, Germany.
Cunningham furthered proved his fighting spirit as he moved up in weight and had a successful stint as a heavyweight with wins over previously undefeated Amir Mansour and Natu Visinia. Campaigning at the time as the smallest heavyweight in the division, he faced Tyson Fury, one of the tallest fighters in the division and dropped the giant with a sensational overhand shot that sent him to the canvas.
Cunningham has a record of 28-8, 1 NC with 13 knockouts, which also includes wins over former world champion Guillermo Jones, Kelvin Davis & Wayne Braithwaite as well as controversial decision losses to Tomasz Adamek, Vyacheslav Gazkov, Wlodarczyk and Yoan Pablo Hernandez.
Outside of the ring, Cunningham resides in the Pittsburgh, PA with his family. He is a regular on-air commentator for the Premier Boxing Champions series and is currently finishing up the premier issue of his new comic book series. The series is a fictional story based on his life and career and is set to be released online and then followed in print.
